Got a call from a friend that their grandson in law lost his wedding ban at the playground and was asked if I could look for it. I asked if he knew where about he lost it and was said yes. Thus I headed there with some optimism about finding it. Upon arriving and talking with the guy that lost it he told me that he knew he took it off and put it in a shallow pocket of his shorts and lost it either on the playground or out in the HUGE baseball and soccer field...or possibly it fell out of his pocket while driving around in his golf cart. That didn't really narrow it down much!! The band was very special to him for it was his grandfathers wedding ban and it was given to him by his grandfather to now be his wedding ban. Spent the day looking with no luck and went back the next day and spent about 4 hours searching and again...no luck. With visions of it rolling out of his pocket while on his golf cart and bouncing down the road and rolling into a ditch, I spent the next 3 evenings till dark looking. On the 6th day with very much faded optimism I hit the playground again and after an hour or so got a solid 15 on my Vanquish and moved my pin pointer around in the wood chips and got a good solid signal with that as well and rolled em around and there it was!! They were thrilled when I returned it...and that is what is so special about this hobby!!
